This year, from April 7-14, the entire city of Seville colaborated to throw one of the most incredible parties around the world: the Feria. Each family has their own
caseta, a tent about with two sections about the size of your living room, one for dancing and one for eating. All the women and teenaged girls dress up in expensive, yet truly elegant flamenco dresses ranging from every color under the rainbow. Their male peers are invariably dressed up in a suit, matching the formality. The city set

s up a carnival area for the younger
sevillanos and games where a giant Bart Simpson is up for a prize.
One heads over to the Feria grounds and passes through the incredible gate. From there on, until your curfew or until you just can´t stand anymore, you party, dance, drink, and eat going from caseta to caseta. In the wee hours of the morning, you drudge back to your house, get in a short rest, wake up at about noon, get a bite to eat, and repeat the entire thing...for a week straight. It´s the only break I´ve ever been on where I felt I needed another week of vacationing from vacation. I know where I´m going to be when next year´s Feria comes around... ( :
